    clinging sound

    hey guys i just put on my lt headers and tsp true duals and when im driving it makes a weird clinging kind of like grinding sound coming from underneath me/rearend area and i can like feel it..its really weird and i was wondering if it might be my driveshaft grinding up against my x-pipe or something?? idk help guys thanks

    just go under and look. i when i put the slp cat back on one of the clamps spun around and was grinding against the driveshaft. there was a shiney spot where it had removed a lot of the rust and "polished" a 1 inch section. if you see anything shiney on your driveshaft than thats the problem. if not grab your exhaust and give it a shake, if it hits something than thats the problem. check the heat shield aswell thats under your gas tank. mine was missing a couple of screws so it would vibrate and cause a horrible rattling noise. i just shoved a glove between it to stop the rattling.

    Do this and check your panhard bar as well.

    Get it up on jackstands and let her drive at idle, ive done it before to narrow down sounds

    you should pretty much be able to look under there at the driveshaft and if anything is rubbing it you'll know by the ring around the shaft.
