Does this really work?
Does anyone have this?
He has 100's of postive feedbacks with only 7 people unhappy.

LS1's can't be "chipped" its probably a cheap resistor that plugs into the IAT to tell the computer that it is colder than what it is to theoretically trick the computer into advancing the timing. BS

Like Slim said, LS1s cannot be chipped.

idk bout you guys but i purchased that same chip and installed it, i noticed it right away mostly in 3rd going 30 down our 4lane hiway when i used to mash it it would somewhat accelerate but not really till i hit higher rpm, now i can do the same and it seem to really take off. just my 2c.

There is no doubt the chip works, but what is it doing to your car?
That chip that is advertised on ebay, as well as EVERY chip advertised on there,
splices in to your IAT Sensor. The small box referred to as the "chip",
is simply a resistor and wiring. When you plug this into your car, the chip tells
your computer that the air coming in is much cooler than it really is.
While this causes minor/if any noticeable horsepower in your car, the result is
your engine running much leaner to compensate. It's only a matter of time before
you begin burning holes in your pistons as a result.

Pewter Metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
same as SLP's "Timing Tricker"
Below is exactly right. And SLP has sold this sort of thing for a few years (for around $20), nicknamed the Timing Tricker. Works the same way. For how it works and whether it is worth it, go to Install University and read their test of the timing tricker. They also tell you how you can fabricate the same part with about $2 of Radio Shack parts (basically a resistor and some wire)...

Mystic Teal- 99 Trans Am & 01 CBR 929
yes they work.
yes you will see a minor difference, pretty much the same as if you used a hypertech.
it does trick your computer to run a little more aggressively which is not always a bad thing. especially if you have intake headers and exhaust.
is it a ripoff? yes. like stated above you can get the parts yourself dirt cheap.

That EBay ad was the funniest pile of BS I've read in a long time. Thanks for the laugh! There is NO chip-based tuning for the LSx.

Light Pewter Metallic- 2000 Camaro SS M6
Awesome mod! This awesome mod works even better when combined with the Tornado/Turbonator! Add a super fuel magnet and you'll get an extra 100 HP! You'll be able to keep up with the ricers!

That chip is not worth it, go to radio shack and by a 1500 ohms chip for less then a dollar and you can make on youself (seem peeling of wires is required tho) but all the best parts is at www.kalecoauto.com Its better then E-bay and I get all of my stuff from them, fast delivery too. Anyone else visit them?

I visit them regularly.
Additionally I had one of those little IAT resistor things and saw absolutely no gains in my 1/4 times ran back to back runs several times no change.
