Catch can question
So I installed a AMW catch can a few weeks ago...checked the can today and there's about 1/8 inch of sludge at the bottom, kinda looks like there's oil in there but not really. The sludge is kind of a slimy, frothy white paste...is that normal? I was thinking that maybe because the oil is constantly under vacuum it turned into a paste. It's not coolant and oil, my oil is clean and so is my coolant....and there's no hydro-carbons in the coolant because I checked awhile ago Is the sludge normal?
Also where did you guys install yours and how did you hook it up? I have egr so I can't install it on the pass head like I wanted....so the only spot I could find that is accessable was on the driverside by the radiator. I put one hose on the end of the pcv plastic hose that runs along the valve cover....then ran it along the upper rad hose to the top of the can.
The second hose is attached to the end of the rubber hose that the pcv is in...and I ran it along the upper hose also to the side of the can. Anyone have any ideas on how to make this a better install?

I was thinking last night that the sludge is probably from condensation and the oil mixing....so I have that solved...hopefully. Any ideas on the install?

Yeah-the white stuff is water from condensation. I haven't done the install so I can't comment.
