Catch Can Mod
Hey guys, i've already searched for this, and all i come up with is the AMC or AMF or whichever one it is, and it's for $160. I thought i read somewhere a while back where there's a cheaper one, but can't remember where i saw it. Can someone help me out with it? Thanks guys!!

Many just go to Home Depot and get the air compressor filters....
Here it is...
Campbell Hausfeld Iron Force air/oil separator flowing at 57cfm
Plumbing/clamps and the filter is like $25 bucks...Last edited by Sarge; 01-22-2006 at 04:50 PM.

just installing a air/oil separator won't grab all the mess getting back into the intake. You are gonna need some type of condensor to cool the air/oil mixture so the water and oil fall out of the air and stay in the separator.I used a alumium water jug 1qt cap and ran a 3/8 in steel line from the engine valve cover to the alum can...the pcv was installed in the top of the can and that ran to the air/oil separator...then bk to the intake.this setup grabbed all the oil.Unfortunately the air/oil sep filled up every week and i got sick of dumping it.So i took everyting back off and started using heavier engine oil.

I'm having the same problem.
And the conclusion is thicker oil... A catch can or filter is a good idea, if you check it regularly but using thicker oil is the best solution... Great, and I just bought a whole case of 10-30.
