catch can or breather?
i am gettin alot of oil in my intake. puddle of it sitting in bottom of throttle body after h/c/i swap. well i re-ded the pcv myself on 98 ss. i have pcv valve in drivers side valve cover and hose ran to other side to a "T" fitting and then to the throttle body. I do NOT have the pcv connection on the valley cover. my question is do just need to buy a catch can or just a breather? im losin like a quart of oil every week and a half and its causin the car to hesitate and loss of power. Thanks

me i took the oil cap off and replaced it with a breather. after i did that i cleaned the maf, tb, iac and the inside if the intake. after about a month i checked all the parts i cleaned and not a new drop of oil has been seen. to me the breather works great, some people add the catch can, some people do both. its up to the person's preference. i went the cheaper way and used a breather, and is working for me. try it and see what you think.
