    Cat went out - need help

    My SES light went on and I pulled the P0420 code which is most likely a bad cat. Talked to the dealership and they want $750 for a new cat plus install. I am not doing that.
    What other options do I have? I see that MAC makes a Mid length header with a catted Y-pipe. It seems like most people on here have the ORY but since I am in Illinois I need to get it emissions tested.

    My car is a '99 WS6 so it looks like it just misses the GM recall
