Cat delete
Is there anyone out there that makes a set of cat test pipes? I think it's illegal to sell them as cat delete pipes. I know some gut the cat but this still leaves a turbulant air flow which can still be restrictive as compared to a smooth straight through pipe. If no one sells these do you think there would be a market on ebay for them and what do you think they would be worth? They would be stainless, same as exhaust and a direct bolt on with o2 sensor
mounts that simulators could be screwed into. I also know you could go to long tube headers but some run with stock exhaust or shortie headers.
Nothing illegal you know just a test pipe.

It's not illegal to sell them it's illegal to buy them and put them on a car that is used on the street. But so is removing your cats. I would personally buy some cheap stainless steel cats and gut them entirely. I have seen some test pipes up on ebay for like $100 each which is ridiculous. I definately see a market in making test pipes.

If you go for deleting the cats, make sure you have your car tuned as there have been threads about check engine lights popping once the cats are gutted/removed.

You buy a pack of two 18mm spark plug anti-foulers and in one of them you drill it out to 1/2" and screw it into the other one then you screw them both into the O2 bung and then put the o2 sensor in. What it does is keeps it out of the flow of the exhaust so any exhaust readings it does get don't throw a code.

Just find an exhaust shop in your area that doesnt care about not having cats...usually the worse looking the place the better. Shouldnt be more than $100 for them to weld up some pipes replacing your cats.
Just tell them you need a couple pipes put in place oc your cats. if they say no then go to the next shop... or better yet just ask the guys who are doing the work...they sometimes dont give a shit what it is.

Does anyone have a sound clip of what it sounds like without cats on stock manifolds?
