car wont run need help bad!!!

today when I left the store my car started up fine but as soon as I put in in gear it kept wanting do die and it did. I started it up again and in park it was fine but as soon as I put it in reverse or drive it would idle extremly low for a few seconds and then just die. It was one hell of a task just to get back home every time I slowed down the car would idle low and try to die. The only reason it did not die was because I would put it in Nuetral and give it gas. If I did not do that It would have died every time. Any thoughts.

I had a car years ago that did that. Turns out that the air intake bellow that ran from the air cleaner to the intake had cracks and I was sucking in more air into my intake than was needed.
The dealership that I took it to said that I could pay $100 to order the new bellow, or I could just wrap it in electrical tape to cover the cracks. Since it was a Ford, I went the cheap route and taped it. It worked and I never had a problem with it again.
Check to make sure your not getting too much air.

I would check the air inlets and check to see if you have a vac leak.

Yes I would also check the inlet tubes. Also if thats not the issue I'd check the maf....... Do you have a wet style air cleaner on it???
