Car starts...then doesn't start....HELP!
The Camaro's been doing great (for the most part), but recently the car decided it didn't want to turn over. All lights and radio turned on no problem, but not even a peep to indicate I was turning the key in the ignition. Tried over and over and nothing. Came back the next day, put the key back in the ignition - started up no problem, so I drove it straight home. New battery and alternator, starter was tested a while back and had no problems. Needless to say, I'm very hesitant to drive it anywhere out of fear of being stranded. What does this sound like to you guys?

VATs issue.
The PASS II key system is not know as the greatest anti-theft system out there. Frustrates owners more than thieves. If you have the security light on it cuts off the fuel pump and starter for a time limit.

That could be it then. Got in it today and it started up just fine; security light came on with the rest of the dash lights, but disappeared with them as well. I suppose I'll just assume it's that for now, but knowing my Camaro and its laundry list of past problems, who knows...

A lot of times it's the key just needs cleaned up. See if there's any gunk on the contacts.
