    Car Alarm

Thing seems to be going off on it's own. I have been staring at it for nearly an hour seeing if anyone was dicking with me but haven't seen anyone through my window. Any guesses?

Going off for no apparent reason is usually the shock sensor going bad. Try disconnecting it for a while and see if it stops.

On the wheel well just above and forward of the spare tire - has a small white knob you can turn counterclockwise to decrease the sensitivity if you want to try that too.

Seems this was either the 2nd or third time it happened spanning across what seemed months. Disconnected, it is the obvious solution-just wish I had an alarm.

disconnect the battery for 10 min. and then reconnect it......same thing used to happen on my GTP which had an aftermarket alarm, only thing to get it to stop was disconnecting the battery for a lil....hope that helps.

I had the same issue w/ both my 97 and my 98. Disconnecting it solved the issue and the alarm still works except for sensing a shock.
