no one can help me out here? i looked at a couple writeups but they are all for 99+ mine doesnt have that bucket that the fuel pump is in. mine had the plastic endcaps that went on the pump and then secured it to bracket. well the walbro fuel pump is not the same size and fits very loosely in the endcaps. anyone know of a write up for this?? or someone who has done it on a 98?

I did the racetronix kit. It came with mounting dowels and you removed the stock metal fitting out of that end cap. Send me your email address and I'll email you the racetronix instructions for the 98's but if you just bought the walbro pump they might not apply. I'm not sure what came with your pump.

If you e mail "Ed Blown Vert" (an administrator) or post on the "Western Forums", he has a 99 SS with a "walbro pump" installed. He is a very hands on person, who could give you the answer to your problem.
