Cammed Daily Drivers

First of all, I've never driven, or even rode in, a car with an aftermarket cam.

I'm thinking about buying a Z that has a 6.0L iron block, cam, all the supporting mods, long tubes, cat-back, etc and was curious as to how they are as daily drivers, as that is what this will be if I buy it.

Going to look at it in the morning.

I'm looking for opinions of those that daily drive a cammed fbody.

The car is an '01 Z with 65k miles. C6 rims, lowered, SS hood/spoiler, auto, t-tops.

Cam is a .224 that's all I know as of now.

It really depends on what your definition of "comfortable" is.

A 224 cam 6.0 is a mild cam to be honest. Jodi had a 228 cam in her's and said it was ok but not enough for her taste. We both just got a Polluter Stage 3 for our 6 liter builds. It has 239/244 specs.

The biggest thing you need to ask is has the car been tuned? If so by who/how? Also if it's an A4 (automatic) has it gotten a stall to match the cam.

After sleeping on it a few nights I've decided to pass. Too many "unknown" things about the engine/motor/mods that I was curious about and the owner didn't know.
