Anybody familiar with this code? Is this common to the Fbod?
2002 Camaro SS

Anyone with experience know the most likely scenario?
I figured I'd ask the experts before pursuing.
Thanks.

the description of the AIR system makes it sound retarded...it pumps in air to reduce emissions? how? all it does is dilute it.....the motor is still making the same amount of exhaust

I will bet you it is a 99.9% chance your check valve on the air injection is mostly plugged. Common problem, easy to fix. Just look for your rubber air injection hose going towards the exhaust manifolds. Where the rubber connects to the metal pipe is a valve in between the rubber hose and the metal pipe, that is the check valve. If only one side is plugged, it is still best to replace both sides because the other side will plug soon....and no you can't really clean the valve, ask me how I know that LOL. The check valve prevents the exhaust from coming into the rubber hoses and burning them.

It's likely water from condensation. We've had torrential rain and wild temperature changes. The car lives outside. Everything deteriorates in those conditions. I'm replacing window motors today. The car hasn't been 1400 miles since the last fix on that issue. I need a garage and a car cover.

check for a cracked line prior to the manifolds. Look at the main feed line. Also, verify that the pump is actually running. Could be a fuse or relay keeping the pump from running at all.
