nws -------Camaro Project----- WHICH ENGINE CAN FIT ???

    Hello,
I always wanted a corvett.. A 2003 is kinda expensive for me.. So what do you think of this guys:
I want to get a 1999 Camaro and fit in a performance Engine (and gear box if I have to).

    My questions:
    - what do you think ?
    - what engines can fit in easely ?? ( I need min 400 hp)
    - Should I buy a performance engines online ?? Any recommendations for a turnkey ?
    - I like carburetor engine..or should I get a injection ?

I live in UAE, I like the idea of having a "sleeper car" that looks normal but have a lot of power under the hood.

    Budget: I donna, maybe 4k$ to 6000$ for Engine/gearbox and parts ?!

$4-$6k should get you a nice used LS6. More aggressive cam and larger heads.

You could even fit an LSX454 under the hood. More expensive though.

Why not just build the engine in the car already? The LS1 is a stout engine. It really doesn't take much to hit that hp. Plus, you'll need the money to beef up the drivetrain to handle the extra power. Just my $.02.

The LS1 is already over 300 hp stock, and already faster than many other cars of equal, lesser, or greater value.

The LS1 responds very well to bolt on goodies, and with $4-$6k worth of goodies, many MORE cars will be hard pressed to even touch you flat out.

    Oh and Welcome to LS1.com!
