Silver- 1998 z28 convertible
i had a truck that did that and i had to clean off the mass air flow sensor. it gets like a buildup of crap on it just try to spray it off with some sort of carb cleaner or something. It might work.

if it otherwise runs good could be an ASR malfunction

Turn off the ASR or the TCS

Could be a fuel starvation issue, could be a spark/ignition issue .... too many variables to determine what is causing the hesitation. Is your SES light on?

I have a 6 speed manual can I turn off TCS? I always hear people saying they turned it off like they are just flipping a switch. Do I have one?

then get the codes scaned, that will give you a start to the problem.

Scan codes and due a complete tune up. maintenance is everything. When my buddy was looking for a ls1 we test drove a 99 a4 trans am with a 169,000 miles on it. The thing ran amazingly well. It would roast the tires off like crazy. I knew the owner and he had kept up with all maintenance and general repairs. Engine oil, trans oil, diff. oil, air filter, plugs, o2s, maf, etc...
