Camaro Engine Swap
What will it take to swap an LS1 into a '97 LT1 Camaro Z28.

Silver- 1997 camaro z28
two completely different engines..not worth it imo. i would just save and get an ls1 camaro or wait till the new 5th gen comes out in 08'

I contemplated the exact same thing in my 97 Z. Decided against it. Major task and lots of dough, many parts including the engine cradle/cross member have to be swapped, entire computer system, you get the idea. Much easier and cheaper in the long run to just purchase a 98 and up LS1 F-body. Larry.
