i had this problem when i first got my car, i thought it was backed up but after puting it on a lift at my friends shop i could c that the drain for our cars ac unit was leaking against the firewall and the heat from the converters had melted the seal from the fire wall and water was coming in to my passenger side floor. all i did was look wher the water was falling and put some kind of putty sealint my buddy gave me not sure what it was but it fixd the problem 9 mounths ago and hasent come back

Iv seen it a few times, sometimes its just because someone had the A/c going for a long while on a hot humid day, but on the same token i would turn the car on, A/c max and take a look at the drain and ensure its draining properly, if not, ensure the drain tube isnt clogged or blocked.
