    butal tape or urethane

Putting my custom front wheel drive fuelinjected 4 cylinder powered 69 chevelle back together... Would you all stick the front and windows back in with butal tape, or go with urethane caulk?

Urethane. It's safer. Butyl tape will Not hold that windshield in during an accident. It will leak water also.

Hey Pontiacfan, look at it this way, I have my big fast gas sucking 408 stroker in my 04 GTO and love it! Imho the 69 Chevelle is one of the BEST looking cars ever built. By doing it this way I'll have my 69 Chevelle AND be able to afford to drive it . Pics will be coming soon!

    Nice.
A person could just build a grand national engine and drop in. They have plenty of power and great fuel economy.

Why not do the front wheel drive like you are, and swap in a transaxle out of a corvair and bolt up a sbc 400 in the trunk. Then you'd have a 4 wheel drive Chevelle.

    Sounds like a good project.

I actually had the thought one time of getting a little Honda hatch and leaving the 4 cylinder stock, then going with a Porche transaxle in the rear with a built V8 in the hatch
