    Burkhart Chassis Front Bumper Support

Anyone running one of these on their car? I just have a couple of questions and am looking for some feedback.

02Sweet is running that brace. I think the thread I saw it in was "weight reduction - wiring". He had some good information and pictures in there, and seemed to be very pleased with the piece. I've considered it myself.

I'll have to search for the thread -- 02sweet hasn't been on in a while. Off to the MWC site I go -- thanks!

MWC is made out of real small diameter tubing. It doesn't weigh much, but I also wouldn't want to wreck running that behind the front bumper cover. The Burkhart Chassis piece, although not technically for the street, at least appears to be made out of more substantial tubing. I have tried emailing Burkhart Chassis and they keep getting bounced back to me.

Ordered the Burkhart piece on Friday -- should be here in a week or so and I'll get some pics up.

Why? Weight reduction? I was under the impression that it was mostly if you're making it easier to mount an intercooler.

Elected to go with the black powdercoat version for $254.00. Bare steel it would have been $229.00, so for basically $25.00 I don't have to mess with prepping and painting it.

I'll be taking pics as I go and posting them. Need to get the car off the trailer and into the garage to get started.

Very easy to do. Remove bumper remove support, reverse. Now I did have to fill out one hole on my car just a little bit for perfect fitment.

What kind of weight savings are there? What is the cost of that item?
