Brakes Feel Funny
Does Anyone Know Why My Car Feels Like The Brakes Are Grabbing Then Slipping When I Stop? This Is More Noticable When Coming To A Slow Stop. The Car Seems To Stop Well, But Feels Funny. I Wonder If One Of My Calipers Is Warpped ? You Dont Want To Take Any Chances With Your Brakes.

Causes may be or include:
Caliper pins may be frozen
Need to free them up and use synthetic grease on them
(extremely common.....often mistaken for warped rotors )
Improper wheel torque is suspect too.....torque should be 100 ft #'s
Rotors could have warped

If your rotors are still within spec and can be turned buy new pads and have a shop with an 'on-the-car' brake lathe turn your rotors and install new pads. Follow all of the other common sense posts also torque, lube all moving parts. It sounds like warped rotors. I've had this problem on almost all of my cars due to racing, hard stops, hot rotors+cold water carwash don't mix. Regardless of the cause turning them on the car will take into account any runout from **slightly** worn parts. Parts that a trustworthy (oxymoron)brake shop says are out of spec should be replaced.

Thanks for the input. I am going to put my bird up on stands and inspect all the brakes, rotors and suspension this week when I get some spare time. Wish me luck.

A very easy test to see if your pads are dragging, after driving the vehicle, put the back of your hand on the rim, is it warm to hot? if so the brakes are dragging and the caliper is no good.

Disc brake systems are constant friction
The pads are always in slight contact with the disc
Feeling warm or hot after driving would not be a good indicator of a bad caliper since heat is always generated, especially during braking
( that's why brakes work BTW )
A better indicator of a stuck piston would be to get the wheel off the ground and see if it spins relatively free
If the caliper pistons are stuck there will be a very noticable or extreme drag
