    Brakes

I was thinking about me brake and was wonder if anyone have put vette brakes on their car. If so can you tell me what vette brakes you used, plus was it worth it, about how hard was it to do, and what is needed to do a full swap? My car is a 01 camaro ss

I think the 2001-02 Camaro SS had the same brakes as the same year Vette. I think but I'm not sure.

I swapped out my brakes for CTS-V 4 piston brembo calipers and c6 z06 14" rotors. If you don't want to do something like this a simple swap of rotors and brake pads for better ones will do as well. Here is a list of what I needed:

    CTS-V Calipers
    Caliper pins
    CTS-V brake pads
    14" Z06 rotors
    Wheel spacer
    18+" wheels
    4 M12 washers
    Custom Brake lines from flynbye.com

The total cost was between $600-800 dollars not including wheels, which I already had.

Some places make a C5 conversion kit, and as long as your comfortable bleeding brakes, you should be fine.

    I'll PM you the links.

I also have looked at the C5 conversion kit pretty straight forward, UMI offers them just be sure to read what wheels will NOT work with the conversion. My wheels won't, others went with r1 concepts rotors and pads with braided lines , much improved over stock, that is the direction I'm headed

This is what I went with. On another note, just noticed you live in Johnstown, PA. I have a customer there and frequent there quite often.
