Brake Combination Problem?
Greetings,
On my 99 Camaro SS, I have had my Baer Eradispeed Rotor & stock brake pads replaced with a new set of Baer Eradispeed Rotors & Hawk High Performance Street pads. Although the prior combination gave me no problems, within 6 weeks the new combination has cut the rotor on the P side and the entire break pad is not contacting the rotor on the D side.
Has anyone had trouble running this Baer/ Hawk combination?
Thank you for your help in advance,
Chris Settle

Cut the rotor...as in put a groove in the rotor? Never heard anything like this before. Almost sounds like your calipers are hanging up.

^^ This. Check your caliper pins to ensure that they are free. It is a good idea to pull them at least once a year, clean off the old grease and grime, and then lube them with new synthetic brake caliper grease. We had a frozen pin on our car when we bought it -- needed a fire wrench to break it free.
