    99 camaro

Bought 99 camaro today, now what?

Where do I start with performance mods? I am eventually going with nitrous as I have it on my snowmobile. Are there any decent mods to perform right away, this is a bone stock z-28. What are the best billet grill inserts. Just a newbie looking for advice as this is my first camaro. Any info will be helpful. Oh yeah is there any way to wire the daytime running lights to stay on with high beams? What is the ls1 edit, Are there any mods to be done right away at home! Thanks

    Magnaflow cat-back.
    Airbox lid.
    Intake.
    Headers.

LS1 loves nitrous. I don't know much about it though...I am not one for power that I have to turn on. Not saying it doesn't work...but it isn't for me.

Change all the fluids and run full synthetic?

Or do the required "get it breathing better" stuff that wakes up an LS1 a little like the exhaust and intake. I think there might be a sticky somewhere that lists all the basic stuff you should do, don't remember where though...

Edit: Yeah its at the top of this section. YOu can check that out for some ideas, prices, and HP gains of some basic stuff.

Thumbs up What I did/plan to do

I bought mine in the winter.

Started with synthetic fluids and basic maintenance (filters/plugs).

    Next flow pac from SLP
98-00 17" SS wheels (5 spoke) from SLP (not installed waiting for my tires to arrive)

    Future
    Bolt in subframe connectors (SLP)
    Strut tower brace from BMR
    Trans tunnel brace from BMR

just watched a "horsepower" show where they did a 100 shot of nitrous and picked up 85 hp at the wheels. but cost about 500 bucks for the kit.

Lid, catback, Free Mods, Subframe connectors, gears (3.73 for auto, 4.11 if it's manual) and synthetic fluids. That should get you into the high 12s in the quarter.
