Both cigarette outlets are dead, why?

I have checked all fuses in both fuse boxes in the engine bay,,, all are good. Why would both cigarette (power points) be dead all of a sudden? Both had power on one drive, next drive they are dead. The car is a 1999 Camaro SS.

Yes there is one for it. The ones under the hood are the primary systems and high draw circuits. The lighter outlets are fused or on a breaker, What can happen is that as they are used small shavings can short our on the hot and ground terminals. blow them out or stick a magnet in them, power odd of course. See if that fixes it.

Check the CIG/ACCY fuse inside the car.

Thank you. I have not checked the cabin fuses, forgot they were even there.

I think that my radar detector shorted out some how. The detector works in other cars. So it must be the fuse in the cabin is blown. I will need to find out why the detector shorted out the fuse.
