    Blower Motor Malfunction need help!

    98 trans am

When I fire up the car the blower motor will work on and off on all different settings high and low. A buddy of mine removed said motor and hooked it up to a power source outside the car and it ran full blast no issues. Any idea what connection is the issue? We think it may be the connection that connects directly into the motor. But we dont know what it is called. Any thoughts tips and feedback is much appreciated!!!

I would suspect the resistor assembly if that is how our blower motors operate. Other than that, maybe the BCM is the issue?

Any tips on how to check if it is the resistor? And what is the BCM?

BCM = Body control Module. It controls things like the power windows, radio, internal lighting and yes even some of the HVAC systems.

I would look for the resisters first. Easier to get to and cheaper to fix. IIRC it is located under the radio in that center section, like in front of the counsel area.

It is the resistor! How do I take it apart to replice the ends?? Or can I?
