Block install
I am trying to install a block in my 2000 WS6 and I am having a hell of a time trying to get the block mated to the tranny. Not sure what I am missing......if I get the block mated and start tightening the bolts I can no longer turn the motor by hand. I soon as a remove the bolts and back the engine away from the trans I can spin the motor. I should only be the shaft connecting to the pilot bearing right? At first I thought wrong size flywheel, but I chekc the p/n and it is correct. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong.....I would assume if the bolts line up then everything should be good. I really would like to finish this motor this weekend TIA

is the trans out of gear? You said something about a pilot bearing so i'm guess you have a m6

check the three bolts that connects the flywheel to the stall converter, there are 3x botls to connect but there are 6x holes you have to make sure you are bolting them up to the right bolt holes from the flywheel to the converter.

converter? Not an A4. The pressure plate and clutch assembly should bolt right to the back of the engine. The splines have to line up perfectly. Did you install the engine with the bellhousing still attached and tranny unit still out? That's the easiest way.
