best way to ship a hood?
hey fellas!
I bought a ws6 hood from neodamonkey from another site and hes having trouble shipping it, he says they charge 880.00 o ship it from Houston Texas to LA California. The plan was to ship it to the dealership who is going to paint it but if theres a standard way people ship these we could use a little help. Does Greyhound do parcel post?
Thanks

Greyhound won;t ship something that size, something that size has to go truck frieght and must be packed solid. UPS might ship it, also check other shippers and see what they say. Commercial carriers my have a better deal seeing as that most of thr frieght they carry is large not parcels.

hell it was going to cost me 450$ to ship a whole front clip from back east to Hawaii... thats crazy on the price.... you got to check different freight and cargo company's, there are allot of them out there that will get the job done for a good deal

If you notice most people selling hoods on e-bay state truck freight, payable as COD. I see most run about 100-200 depending on distance and residential vs business.
There is a seller on ebay that claims to ship hoods via UPS. Just for a search for hoods and you will see what I mean.
I remember an ebay seller not that long ago that sold an SS hood, shipped it UPS, so i would think UPS is possible.
good luck.
