best 500Hp

hey, my engine just blew want to get new engine. what is the best/cheapest way to get around 500hp and maintain everyday driver? wont be doing it myself.
parts, costs, brand ect.

i was told that 500hp is toooo much for everyday driver unless it is obtained with super or turbo???is that rite?

I would think that an N/A 500hp engine would be a bit much for a daily driver. Its definately do-able, but gas would kill you. You'd be looking at lots of cubes or a radical cam, or a combination of the two. Not the most practical. The reason people suggest FI is because you can control the boost and not be at a 500 hp output all the time. And you wouldn't need lots of cubes to do that either. I don't know, that just the way I look at it.

Ask Mr. Luos what he gets on miles per gallon. He built himself an iron 402ci that puts out 500+hp at the wheels N/A. He's got lots of cubes and a hefty cam. Its streetable, but I don't think he would use it as a DD if he didn't have to.

ok, what should i expect gas mileage wise with 500 n/a engine at flywheel

500 flywheel is roughly 425 RWHP.

Cam and heads. Tuned properly it can probably get 22-23 MPG mixed driving with an M6.
Not so sure about the A4.
