It's very easy. It's located on the passenger side just behind the glove box. I find it easier to remove the glove box and the inside trim panel that runs along the door (<you have to at least remove that one). I also use a flat tip screw driver to help pull it out. Putting it back in is just reattaching the harness and pushing it up into it's holder.

Here's a video of where to find it. I'd post pics but Photobucket is holding them hostage.

no window issues, only lighting... two years ago my interior lights wouldn't work at all, I replaced the BCM and I got lighting...

I tried putting the car into programming mode and was unable, not sure if that is a BCM symptom or not...

Could very well be. Please let us know what you find. Are you going to crack it open and look for bad solder joints, or just replace it?

    got this from gmpartspros.net:

Looking at the GM service manual, it says "Important: Any new body control module (BCM) will automatically program to the resistance of the key (or interrogator setting) being used at the first ignition ON cycle. This can only be done once for the life of the module."

So basically, if it is brand new, the very first time that key is used, it will program, but can only happen once.
