So I had my car towed to a Chevy dealership the other day after hearing this terrible noise that sounded as if there was no oil in my engine. Turns out there was no oil in my engine, ( even though my oil pressure gauge didnt seem abnormal) Can you guess where it leaked out from? 2 half dollar sized holes in the block! Figure that out. 52,000 miles. One day it was fine, one day it sat, the next day awful noise. No prior noise evidence of any valvetrain issues, nothing. Do i have the worst case of luck known to man? Now it looks like im going to have to sell all of my fucking exhaust parts just to cover the cost of labor for an engine swap; after i get lucky and can afford a replacement engine.

You mean like a rod bolt or something punched holes in the block?That SUCKS!!

i know how ya feel that happend to me 2 days after i bought my car..if you get gm to do it and another ls1 engine its going to be about $6000 with parts and labor..

your luck isn't even remotly close to mine... engine #5 here...

call fred beans... i got a brand new crate LS6 for about $4,500.00 from them... the LS1 would have cost me more... they were going for $5,300.00...

lol wow well im alomost there im on #3...but the only thing i would of wished i would of done is went with the ls6

hehe... i went trhough a local guy gene cully from a local fred beans... i thought he was joking when he said $4,500 for the ls6... i was going to originially go with the LS2 but that was right after they cam out and they cost a bit more than the LS1 did... they were right around $5,800.00...
