Dude, take out your headunit...there's a black box behind it kinda on the top back right side I believe. It comes out by sliding it up and out. You'll see 2 sets of wires going into it. You wanna take out the set w/ the blue colored wire. Now, this is gonna kill your auto-headlight problem but it's also gonna shut off your blinker bulbs as well... There's a way to keep on just your blinkers but it involves splicing into that wire...

so i just like cut that wire or something and thats it...??? hmmm cant be that hard, but when u say i gets rid of my blinkers....im guessin u mean the turn signals and that when off u mean that i wont have the DRLs daytime running lights....but they'll work though right...like i mean when i goto turn and stuff..lol...

Here is what you need... Works like a charm. Just rember your emergency brake light won't work. Small price to pay

Or just pull your parking brake up one click.

pull the ebrake up a click???? hows that gonna do it??

If you pull it up one click your DRLs won't come on, then just turn on your fog lights and your parking lights. It's easier than messing with the electrics and you know you won't short anything out.

Just change the light sensor in the dash to a 10k ohm resistor.

The parking brake thing only works before you turn the car on, you'd have to pull it and turn the car off then restart it to run without em, so it isn't to any avail really. Somewhere in here, and several places on ls1tech you can find very extensive conversations about this, and a very good explaination to ed's suggestion, which is the best way to do it. It just makes the car think that it's always light out so they never come on automatically

Another suggestion-something else to think about trying. If you were to wire in a switch into the parking brake switch wire, you just click a switch before you start the car and disable the auto headlights. It's the same thing as pulling up the park brake lever,I just don't like that idea as the brake may drag. There is only one wire inside the console to the parkbrake switch, wire in a switch ,locate it someplace convenient, run the other side of the switch you put in to ground. You are bypassing the switch at that point,it will turn on the little brake light on the dash however so this may not be to your liking.
