ASR Question...
okay so i don't know if my car is equipped with asr or not.. there is no switch next to the fog light switch.. but yesterday i did a long ass burnout and my "low trac" light came on and the burnout kinda weakened up i heard if you had it you can pull a fuse and it will turn it off.. but i don't even know if i have it.. looked in the manual and all it said was if it's equipped you'll have a switch and then it showed the light.. so no help there.. does anyone know
also i changed my oil and wanted to reset the oil change timer.. and i held the trip odometor button for like a minute.. nothing happend so need some help there too
thanks!

Pewter- all bore 370 Trans Am
if you dont have a switch that says ASR, you dont have it. Turn the key all the way foward before turning the car over, hold the trip reset button until the oil light flashes.

press it a few times, then hold it down. Is the key turned all the way foward with the car off?

Besides the asr switch...another way to tell is if you have 2 cables going to your throttle linkage on your TB. If you have traction control and cruise control you'll have one cable for the throttle. If you have cruise but no traction you'll have two.
far as the oil you have to have the key in the on position but don't start the car...hold the trip down and it should reset after like 15 seconds

You can just turn the key to on and press the gas to the floor three times, then turn the key off. Both methods work to reset the oil light in these cars.

okay thanks... i'm wondering if my oil light might be burnt out.. cause it's not showing a light..anyway thanks i guess i don't have asr.. two cables to the tb and i have cruise..
my next question is when i do a burnout and the low trac light comes on.. is it doing anything to comprimise my performance??

The low trac light could be your abs for some reason.

The weakening of your burnout was probably the tires warming up and grabbing... I have the ASR switch because i ordered it... just wired it up so it lights up... was thinking of using it as somekind of switch but couldnt figure out the wiring
