Anyone have Antenna problems due to cold weather???
my radio antenna has worked fine the entire time ive had the car... today its been really cold (30's) with windchill making it much worse.... this mornign it worked fine.. i get in the car after class today at 4 and drive home all is good. i get home and when i take the keys out i heard the motor start to go then make a loud weird noise. now the antenna is stuck up. it cna only move down or up by about 3 inches and its starting to bug me. anyone else have this happen? is the motor shott or is something else wrong?????

Either the motor's shot or the stiff wire that's inside the antenna (it pushes it up and pulls it down) has snapped.

i think it might be broken cuz when the radio is turned on/off, you can hear the motor go like its putting the antenan up/down, except the antenna doesnt move .
also..... lookin on ebay and that are the replacement antennas the entire piece including the part that extends outside the car or do you just replace the motor and all that inside the car???Last edited by T/AKing; 01-27-2007 at 08:59 AM.

I would wait for warmer weather and see if it still does it. If it does then just replace it.
