    Any steering column gotchas?

I thought I would ask before I dive in this weekend.

Does any one know if there is anything to pay extra attention to when replacing the steering wheel and steering wheel column?

As far as I can tell you have two bolts under the dash, three bolts in the floor board, and one bolt in the steering knuckle.

What is the best way to get that steering knuckle bolt out, besides swearing at it?

Any good techniques for marking any locations?

After I get the work done I will take it in for an alignment at the local shop.

BTW, I'm going from a 99 steering setup w/ no radio controls to a 02 w/ controls. It will be an A4 to M6 steering wheel and column swap. cross my fingers.

    thanks

yeah, i plan to yank the neg bat cable, fuse for air bag(s) and then descinnect all the yellow wires, plus other of course. trust me every time i get in my car i think of how much it would suck to get a face full of air bag.
