    Any preference: SFC's and Lids

I have a 99 Z28. I want to get weld-in subframe connectors and an airbox lid. Who sells the best bang-for-buck and where should I purchase them from? I was looking at subframe connectors from HotPart - the Triangle Style (I can get them $175 shipped). I know you can get tubular and regular boxed-styler are cheaper, however I think these ones are stronger.
I was also looking looking at the Mojo air lid (I can get it for $90 shipped).

Does anyone have any experience with these products? Any better prices out there? Thanks!

i really like the clear lid. It is more money but it looks nice especially if youve got a clean engine compartment. As for SFC's i am looking to get some myself but i havent yet. I like UMI's prices so i think im going to go with them.

I have the BMR boxed SFCs - I like being able to lift the whole side of the car at once with a floor jack. As for a lid get the style you like, best price you can find - not much difference in performance from one company to another.

I have the lid and bolt-on subframe connectors from SLP and those are the ONLY products I don't regret buying from them.

I can't afford the SLP subframe connectors new and I can't find any for sale used right now.

That's why I was curious if anyone's using Hotpart.com's version. It's loads cheaper.

    SFC's

I got the HotPart SFC's. I had them welded in by a local speed shop that put a set of Hotchkis on my third gen. They are very good quality and fit. They are definitely a bargain and I don't think you would be dissappointed.

Thanks for the input. On eBay, the Hotpart.com diamond SFC's essentially the same price as a set of BMR boxed from a sponsor or direct from BMR.

Now, the Hotparts are made from 1"x1.5" and 1"x1" while the BMRs are 2"x2". Is the diamond set up that much stronger to make up for the smaller/weaker tubing?

    I'm splitting hairs, I know.

    Ditto

A lid is a lid unless you opt for the clear lids, which I would like to get one myself.

I agree with Tobynine9. I believe that SLP's Subframe Connectors are by far the best SFC's out there. They not only tie the frame and subframe together, they run far enough down the frame to help stiffen the entire body which stops a lot of squeeks and shakes and body twist.

They may cost a bit more than some of the others, but you also get a bunch more.

another vote for the sponsors. Those guys allow this site to exist and support the f-body hobby. It only makes sense to support them.

I'll reinforce it that you should join our GP. Our subframe connectors are powdercoated to prevent rusting and are weld-in to your preference.
