Antenna motor making noise
Anybody ever have this problem? My antenna goes down fine, but when it hits bottom(or the stowed position) there is a grinding, clicking noise for about 3 seconds. Could it be that the motor is still trying to lower the antenna after it's already down and that's what's causing the noise? If this is it how do I fix it? Any help is appreciated.

black- 1999 Pontiac Trans Am
Mine has made this sound since new in 1999. I also have a 1994 Miata that does the same thing only worse. Most of the time when my wife and I hear the sound from either car, we jokingly say " that is going to go out soon " , hasn't yet on either car.
Keep driving.
