    Annoying high idle

Lately ive been having an annoying high idle and i cant seem to figure out why its happening.. My TB doesnt stick and my throttle cable doesnt either.. It does it worst after i get on it real hard and come to a rolling stop coasting.. It only stops idling high when i come to a complete stop.. Its weird.

    the usual response are:

When's the last time you cleaned your MAF? Any mod upgrades? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Has it always been idling high or just recently?

Get a can of CRC MAF cleaner, take off the the MAF, DO NOT TOUCH THE WIRES.

Spray the cleaner onto the 3 wires that are in the center of the air flow. Let it dry, I always hit mine 2-3 times just to make sure it gets it clean. Let it dry, then reinstall.

    Nothing to it.

i fixed all the problems today that ive been having lately. the smoking, the high idle. It ended up being a broken spark plug. its all fixed now! thank god.

Glad you found it. Still need to do the MAF cleaning.

How did you think to check there? (From what you gave us, it didn't let us think it was a spark issue, usually with a broken plug you have severe misfire, codes popping)

the guy that helps me out with my car and installs stuff for me told me to check it. he said its the middle of the engine and usually they catch everything going through. a couple had oil, one was fine then i go to the 4th one and it looked like this. BTW i had no codes and no misfires, the car felt a little sluggish but i figured it was something else. There is no smoking anymore either.
