    Amsoil Bypass First Test

I did a card blotter test at 3000 miles on the Mobil1 EP 5-30 without the Amsoil Bypass on Feb 6, 2011 ( Top Blot)

After the Amsoil Bypass install I did a blot test at 3000 miles with Mobil 1 EP 5-30.

Same truck...same same everything. I will get a UOA and particle analysis at 5000 miles to see how we are doing but wanted to give you folks a real world "observation" on how the bypass unit is working.

    Reach your own conclusions...........

    Thumbs up ISO Partical Count

Looking good! I trust your ISO particle count will be squeaky clean...

Damn this looks pretty crazy. I mean i understand its 'supercleaning' the oil...but the oil is still breaking down.

I would think the extended OCI's, however long it might be able to be extended , would be the secondary benefit to having squeaky clean oil running around in the engine!

I don't think anyone spending the money to get a bypass filter systems installed on their vehicle will then cheap out with low quality oil that would not last the longer OCI. Just my .02

CompSyn put together all the part numbers so I can order this up for our Suburban. I received my documentation a few weeks ago, but just have not got around to ordering yet.

The reason it is on my Silverado is for wear. 90% of the wear is due particle matter below the size full flow filters remove. These bypass filters filter out particles down to 2 microns. It is all about wear for me....not OCI.

yes I was responding to the guy asking about break down of the oil on the longer OCI. I doubt that you spent all the money on that system and then would get oil that would break down quickly.
