    Amsoil

First off, let me start by saying AMSOil is awsome. I have tried several different oils in different vehicles but this stuff won me over. I had the well known chatter at idle (cold start), but this has since went away after running AMSOil for aprox 100 miles. With that being said, how long can/should I run on one oil change. I am in Anchorage Alaska so i only put 1,000 miles on a year and generally get the oil to operating temp once a month during the winter. Any sugestions? ...SARGE if your out there let me know.

I'd recommend once a year for you since you only do 1000 miles a year.

I run Amsoil as well but why 0w30 and not 5w30?

All all their oils are good, but the 0W30 signature series has proven through oil analysis to be superior for its cleaning ability and friction modifiers.
