Alternator Whining!
okay my alternator is starting to whine loudly, and when i accelerate it alsmost sounds like its supercharged ( get alot of turning heads lol) is it time of a change? to ad more details sometimes my Ammeter goes from the middle to mid-yellow's. i checked the belt and it seems perty snugg it abou 1/2 inch of play. any help?

check your idler pulleys to ensure there keeping tension on the belt and it sounds like the bearings in your alt are takin a poo on ya. may be time to replace.

i hate the fact that the beaings inside the nator arent replaceable, im probably gonna get a stronger Alt probably a 180Amp, (dont know much about alternators) but i plan to put a stero and a basic system.

your alt is on the way out same thing happened to me a few months ago and the amp meter dropped to like 8. its best to replace it before its completley gone
