Alternator charging wire!!!!
What up LS1's......................OK has anyone had to replace their alternator wire (the connector/wire that clicks into the alt......)? I've noticed my battery isn't charging so I'm having to smart charge it just to make sure it doesn't die.......I just purchased the battery and now I'm realizing why the last one went out on me!!! Actually my stupid Power steering pump was leaking fluid down and into this connector/wire which caused this to start with!!!!
I figure if I change the whole connector/wire piece this may take care of the problem........perhaps the old one (internally) was damaged from all the leaky fluid......

Connectors normaly dont just go bad even with some PS fluid on them. I would first check your alt to ensure its charging. You can clean the connector with some electrical cleaner to ensure all the fluid is out of there.
If the fluid ended up inside the Alt chances are it could have shorted a diode inside.
