well i already had mac mid length headers on the car when i bought so i figured this cam is so aggressive and would be fine with the mids shouldn't have to change to the long tubes till later down the road.

Agree with Scott's list. Also, unless you have strict emission testing, go with long tube headers. They really help the engine breathe. They give good inprovement on a stock engine, let alone one with mods.
Many seem to like Yank stalls, around 3200 to 3600 seems to be popular. You will also need an aftermarket tranny cooler, and a tune - check out Frost (click his banner at the top) - you won't find a better deal and you'll be happy with the results.
Another note - if you haven't upgraded the rear end yet, be careful about getting traction. They are one of the weakest links in the drivetrain, and have been known to break under stock power. Even the V6's have been known to break them. You may be fine, but most choose to upgrade to a 12 bolt or 9" to avoid issues.

If your car has Mac mids already they are fine. You can always switch to long tubes later. I ran Macs for years.

I agree with Scott and Walt. Especially on the rear end issue.
