Airdam
Ok so i'm trying to do two free mods in my z28. The first one is the TB bypass and the second one is the free ramair. but i'm having trouble finding out how to cut the airdam, and were is located at and how to remove it. I guess my question is (where is the airdam located at, how do i remove it, and were to cut) a sticky or information on how to do it will me most helpful

yeah i know to cut the small square's under the air filter, but that's not the airdam i think the air dam is located under the car or something not sure.. any help?

DO NOT cut the Airdam on one of these cars.
Without it the car will overheat because it helps direct air to the radiator.Craig

Don't touch the air dam! (It is the hard plastic piece that extends down below and slightly ahead of your radiator.) It is mandatory to ensure proper airflow through the radiator. It has nothing to do with the free ram air mod, which is where you cut out part of the plastic sheathing that is below the air box 'tray' where the air filter sits, and above (& in front of) the radiator.

good thing others posted before i seen... you only want to cut the platic away from the part where the filter sits on... like everyone said don't cut the air dam... the only bad thing about this mod is your filter will get dirty as hell from road dust and debris being sucked in the holes... K&N is not a good filter with this mod... a paper filter would be better suited...

yeah i heard that the air filter get's really dirty, but is ok i'm always under my hood cleaning anyways since is my dd and if it start's to bother me really bad ill just make a screen out of a window screen or door screen kinda how the maf screen is to protect my filter.
