    Air Lid Question

Hi, I have a 02 ws6. I just recived my new slp air lid. The stock lid has a 3/4" Hose that runs from the drivers side of the lid down into the wheel well. The new lid has no spot to put it into. What should I do with this hose?

That hose just sucks in air when the air pump comes on. Get an air breather filter, stick it on the end that connected to the lid and tie it off. The K&N part number is 62-1030, but any filter from a local parts store will work. Don't kink the hose and stop the airflow, it'll throw an SES light.

I've heard a piece of panty hose and a rubber band will keep anything from being sucked into the pump hose will work temporarily.

You ordered the wrong one...my slp lid come with all the parts and hose to hook it up to the pump hose. If you ordered it from slp see if they'll give you the lid for a 00-02...or just use a breather like stated above...but the breather looks like crap under the hood. That's why I got the slp and have the gran lid for sale...

Another option is to put the little air filter down by the pump located just in front of the driver side wheel well. I cut the hose there, but the filiter in, and no problem, nothing shows, clean install. Good luck!
