air bag reset

i bought a car with bags blown, i have the bags and the sensor that goes under the console, if i replace the bags and sensor will the airbag light go off or is there a way to reset it, and is that the only airbag sensor on the front of the car that needs to be changed, it was hit in the front, i know it has a rear sensor, but that should be fine

I changed the bags and module in my vette a couple years ago and I think the light went off once they were replaced. If you change yours and the light doesn't go off, you can go to a GM dealer or probably even Autozone and have them clear the code. I know Autozone does free code reading so I would think they would clear it for you too. One other thing, make sure the module you got has the same part number as the original, otherwise it won't work.
