After crash, she wont start
Okay so as some of you know i crashed my car a few months back and now she wont start. The crash was in the front driver corner so that's where the fuse boxes are. Well she doesn't even go "click" Just all the lights on the dash go on but not even a click when i fully turn the key. I did replace the starter and ignition relays as they were missing and i also added the fuel relay, i can hear the fuel pump working but it wont even click when i turn the key. Ideas? i haven't yet put the fan relays, horn, fogs, air pump or another air relay but if those will actually have a effect on the car to see if it'll at least turn over?

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
My guess is VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System).
Key chip may be dirty (clean?) or the system may have failed. System failure takes a new ignition switch to fix.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 03-16-2010 at 11:36 AM.

i wonder
do these cars have crash sensors that shut off fuel and electrical in the event of said crash?

I don't think GMs have crash sensors as far as I know. I would check the VATS as mentioned before and check your neutral safety switch if you have an M6. You might even have a loose/broken wire somewhere after the accident.

Spun out doing 70mph, estimated speed at point of impact was 40-45mph dead-on into a tree in a '00 red WS6 M6, car shut off, would never start back up. Front sway bar was VERY close to the crank pulley but didn't make contact. Looked like a cookie cutter, but I never saw anything that could've affected start-up Then again, the car was towed to my buddy's house until the insurance came out and totaled it, so I never cared. Both of my friends pointed the figure to VATS as well, never understood why

Neutral safety switches are usually located behind the clutch pedal. My last car had it behind the pedal.
