    98 T/A help please

    please help i just bought a 98 TA auto it runs great out of the hole but when the revs get between 4500-6000 it just runs flat really bad sometimes will sound like a backfire when it shifts.the air filter looks new i just replaced the fuel filter. the car is not giving me any codes. what is my next step to getting this car running rite? thanks

    any mods to the car? Have you cleaned the MAF sensor? When was your last tune up?

    no mods yet we just got it home the other day. haven't cleared anything yet.

    yeah, start there. You can buy maf cleaner at most parts stores. If you use anything other than MAF cleaner just make sure it's a non-residue cleaner and don't touch those wires because they're very fragile.
