95 z28. 454 swap possible?
in the market to buy a local 95 z28 w/ no motor and tranny. i previously built a 454 that ive been keeping in the garage to throw in somthing, but this is the first thing ive found. im curiouse as to if anyone has done this in these forums, ive yet to see the car in person, but judging from pictures it looks like theres no chance the big block will be able to sit in the cradle with enough room to throw a carb on, looks tight enough with the lt1 in there.
any ideas or input, good or bad, would be appreciated,

That BIG BLOCK is efin wide. Good luck gettin headers to fit in there. Even custom. I think that I remember seeing a big block in one a while back. (I dont know) Your gonna need Lots of mods.. What are ya gonna do for a distributor. You would't be able to take the cap off?

The original John Moss 4th Gen ZL1 had a 502 in it. But that was GM's skunkworks, and they did massive modifications to get it to fit.

I would suggest searching for either an older truck or car. I had a 454 in my 72 chevelle and there was plenty of room. The only problem I had was the starter, I had to get a mini high torque starter because of the headers.
