95 Chevy ls1 swap
This is my first build, so I'm a little bit ignorant on know how for this stuff, but I have the 5.3 ls1 and aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. My problem is I need the fan wiring harness I think. But looking at the headlight harness I have to run, there are two connectors that look exactly like the connectors for the fan. Are these connectors for the fan??

What are you swapping the motor into? If you are using a truck harness witch I think you should be the 5.3 should of had a regular fan off the water pump so there wouldn't be a fan hook up...a little more info would help on your swap, as well as motor year and what harness you are using

Thanks for your reply, it's a 95 Chevy 1500 and I went dual electric fans and the aluminum radiator. I believe it's a early 2000s 5.3 ls style

And I'm not sure of the year or style of harness. I have a complete standalone main wiring harness but I'm not sure of the headlight harness

I just bought a 2004 5.3 and it has a fan right on the front of the motor. So if you are using a electric fan set up you will have to run a separate switch and power source from the fuse block. Maybe someone else could help if you can wire it to come on when the temp calls for it or will you have to rely on manual switch and watching your temp gauge!!! Why don't you want to run the stock fan set up? I plan to run electric fans but it's going to be a track car and I will just run fans when needed

Thanks guys, and I bought it with the electric fans already on it, just needs completing. And also plan to turbo it this winter so I figure it's best to stick with the electric fans for a street/ strip truck
