    383 dyno

I had the T/A on the mustang dyno yesterday.
    max power 399.9 at 102.0mph
    max torque 694.0 at 85.0mph

    max power 397.8 at 5500rpm
    max torque 424.2 at 4500rpm

Can you help me convert this to fly wheel hp/torque and rwhp hp/torque?
Isn't 694 torque out of this 383 unrealilistic. I'am not how to read this.
    Thanks.

On the dyno jet before getting stroked, suspension, and 12 bolt 4.11's, it did 475 hp 458 torque fly
    403 hp 378 torque rwhp

post a pic of the sheet. that 694 sounds extremely unrealistic from an n a 383 though. the tq should have an increase but not a 300 ft lb increase. maybe a second dyno might be needed.

i know strokers make a shit ton of TQ... but that number seems way to high... 525 i'd believe but not almost 700...

They did three runs after it was calibrated and they are all very close to that same number. Maybe it's a computer problem.

First slow, second half way through hammered down to full throtle, third and fourth the same. Not sure if he used 5th and 6th.

from all my dyno's i've done...

he should just cruise to 2k rpm in each gear then when he hits 4th and hits 2k rpm he should have floored it... i wouldn't take my car back there... doens't sound like the guy knew what he was doing... i'd assume that the high TQ is from a lower gear...

he very well may have been in a lower gear for those torque numbers.

Sounds like the shop effed up. 5500 rpm? Whole lot of wrong in this scenario...

FWIW, my 382 made 460/470 through a LS6 intake and probably could have been near 500/500 fully optimized. Your numbers are whacked...
    2000 Z28 382/nitrous...sold and missed.
    2004 Z06 CE Z16...still looks stock.
